WINIFRED, "ED" EDWARDS, 86, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012.
He was a retired maintenance worker for FBM Properties, a member of Lewis-Parkland Masonic Lodge 638, Scottish Rite, Kosair Shrine, and Order of the Eastern Star. He was also an Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Mattie Edwards; and his most loved canine companion, Topper.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dorothy "Dot" Mattingly Edwards; a daughter, Belinda Meredith (Steve); a stepdaughter, Paulette Leguizamon; a brother, Raymond Edwards; grandchildren, Denna Meredith and Stevie Meredith; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held at noon Monday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy., followed by entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday.
